Timothy M. Sullivan began his career serving in the U.S. Navy as a JAG Attorney. While stationed in Washington D.C., Tim earned an advanced tax law degree from Georgetown University, graduating with distinction. Upon his discharge from the Navy, he spent several years representing clients in tax matters at two of the country’s largest accounting and law firms. Timothy M. Sullivan then served as General Counsel and Treasurer of a large manufacturing company in Northeast Ohio.

In 2000, Timothy M. Sullivan entered the collection industry. Today, he serves as the Managing Attorney of the firm and as President of our affiliated collection agency, HS Financial Group. Timothy M. Sullivan serves as Special Counsel to the Ohio Attorney General. In this capacity, he represents the State in non-bankruptcy and bankruptcy matters involving dozens of different State departments.

Tim graduated from Vanderbilt University and obtained his law degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and his Master of Laws in Taxation (LL.M) from Georgetown University.

Jeff Koberg has been practicing law since 1990. His areas of practice include: Commercial Litigation-Creditor’s Rights, Retail Litigation-Creditor’s Rights, Foreclosure Representation, and Loan Workouts. He is a member of the Commercial Law League of America, National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association. Jeff brings extensive knowledge to the management team through his knowledge gained from 26 years of Creditor’s Rights and Commercial Collections.

Jeffrey L. Koberg graduated with a B.S. in Public Policy, Public Personnel Management, and Public Finance from Indiana University and earned his law degree from Case Western Reserve University Law School.

Matthew McDonald is an associate attorney with a focus on creditors’ rights and commercial collections. He earned his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where he contributed to the Environmental Law Clinic, Human Trafficking Practicum, and ESG Writing Clinic. His legal training reflects a strong commitment to ethical governance and responsible legal practice.

Matthew brings a unique interdisciplinary perspective to his work, holding advanced degrees in Classics and Ancient Greek from Ohio University and the University of Colorado Boulder. This foundation enhances his analytical approach to complex legal and regulatory matters. His experience includes legal research, contract drafting, and regulatory analysis. Prior to entering the legal field, Matthew taught Latin and Greek at the secondary and collegiate levels, showcasing his strength in communication and education. He is multilingual, with fluency in German, Latin, and Ancient Greek, and has held leadership roles in several academic organizations.

Mark J. Sheriff is an experienced attorney with the Law Offices of Timothy M. Sullivan, concentrating his practice on creditors’ rights and commercial collections. He has more than 40 years of experience representing clients in this field. Mark is a Certified Creditors’ Rights Specialist/Expert through the American Board of Certification and has been AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell for over 30 years. He has been recognized by Super Lawyers® Magazine for his work in commercial and business litigation and collections and is a Past President of the Commercial Law League of America.

Earlier in his career, Mark served as Chair of the Collections Department at a regional law firm, where he managed complex litigation matters and oversaw attorney general portfolios. He is a frequent speaker at national legal and industry conferences, including those hosted by the American Bar Association, the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges, and NACM.

Mark earned his B.A. in Economics from The Ohio State University and his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. He served two years in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and received an Honorable Discharge with the rank of Captain.

Christian H. Chadwell is an associate attorney at Law Offices of Timothy M. Sullivan, focusing on commercial collections and civil litigation. Christian graduated with his Bachelors at Northern Kentucky University before being admitted to Salmon P. Chase College of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctorate in 2023.

Christian found an early interest in contracts and business administration while at Chase Law, becoming a member of Chase Entrepreneurs and working in the Small Business Clinic to assist his community of Northern Kentucky. He engages in a practical, results-driven approach that helps clients recover their due from unpaid goods and services.
